Yes I understand it is discontinued. What I wrote was that if anyone
comes across a *used* copy for sale (eg not brand new, although it could
be brand new - perhaps in an unopened box, for instance) then that would
be a good purchase - if inexpensive. As a matter of fact, Final Cut Pro
7 works just fine on the latest Mac OS.

Final Cut Pro X is a completely different application, looks and feels
nothing like 7, and is better. But as you see, costs money!
