I think point #1 is kind of morbid, but I guess it
happens.  Point #2 gets my vote for the most likely
cause.  It seems to me that some folks would get swept
up in the whiz-bang digi-kam kraze and want to dump
their smelly old 80's Pentax gear (such an unhip
decade!)
