I made a distinction between parks and monuments  and such in listing my 40... I was using the list on line of the
59 that Ddan was using as well, and I presume, was Ken...

Gosh, getting into National Monuments and historical thingys that are not specifically parks would, I imagine,
increase all three of our lists by a bunch...

I hope my golden age passport is good for entrance to some monuments that are closer to home than
the parks are..  I think it is so

Actually, most of those (not including cemeteries) *are* part of the
National Park Service.

I just googled the official list, and check off 25 I have visited.  That
does not, of course, include national monuments, preserves, historic sites,
historic parks, memorials battlefields, cemeteries, recreation areas,
seashores, lakeshores, rivers, parkways, trails, and "affiliated areas,"
all of which are officially designated

Hi ann, I'm surprised you've only been to 7 National parks. Your comment
made me stop and count the National Parks I've visited - 22. Not all of
them were photo destinations - some were just to rubber neck.
