Battery life isn’t a factor for me. I always shoot with the grip installed and have never come close to depleting the batteries. I asked before about the resulting improvement but got no answer here. It may be too late for the upgrade now. Should have asked on Pentax Forum, but I hate navigating that site. I’ll call the provider, but still hope to hear from someone about any improvement in performance. Paul
