I had this happen once quite a few years ago (although I think it actually was an ME Super). My remedy (successful!) was to squirt just a bit of "TV contact cleaner" (from Radio Shack) and then to fire the camera a bunch of times. (My thought was that it was an oxidized electrical contact, which the cleaner might "un-oxidize" (reduce, I guess, in chemical terms). Well, it worked...
