If you're not gonna use email on the phone, why don't you just deactivate the
email account on the phone?
That's why I'm taking my iPhone back to the Verizon store, to find out how to
do that.
If that doesn't work, I'll follow Paul's suggestion and take it to the Apple
store and have
*them* help me with it.
When I don’t know how to do something, I find utilizing support available on
the Apple website, especially support communities, or Googling, gets me the
information I need pretty quickly.
Go to > Settings > Passwords and Accounts > Your Account > Mail > Tap the
button so it shows grey instead of green. Or delete your account altogether.
It's not "stoopid" iPhone. It's not "stoopid" anybody. You just don't know how
to do it. Most of the time that's the case. At least in my case.
I don't understand why you’d purchase an expensive phone and the deactivate one
it's most convenient functions.
If you switched your account to IMAP you could get mail on both your devices.
I don't need mail on both devices. I need mail to come to my computer here at
home.
Stopped by the Verizon store. Took less than 2 minutes to get the Earthlink
email account removed from the iPhone.
