Our little troupe hired a short taxi/tour ride to a local Mayan info and
tequila distillery/plantation. Most then went on to the beach; I requested the
driver drop me back to the pier where I walked around a little while, then
re-boarded our ship.
There's nothing about a beach that I can enjoy more than the pool deck on the
ship... and there's no sand to bother with. :-) The tequila distillery was very
interesting, the port side shops pretty much the same as anywhere else in
today's world.
