Thanks for all the info.

Borrowed and Android 8 Pie tablet and it actually worked. After that I
tried my Samsung Android 9 Pie and that one also connected. If I
disable Wifi on the KP and try to reconnect with the Samsung the party
is over...
Must be something Pie 9 related. Now that I have tried the app for an
hour or so I can live without it. The display is very low res and
pixelpeeping is not possible, the imagesync app displays very low res
images even when the jpg or raw is downloaded.

Apparently there is something like IMAGE Transmitter 2 for PC or Mac.
Maybe that's what I need to control my KP mounted on a telescope or
microscope. Oh no. They want 180 euro's for this.
