Why do you say that one cannot learn with a digicam? Learn what? The G1 can let you set your shutter speed and aperture (or at least can reproduce their effects digitally) manually... it actually has all the main shooting modes of an SLR (M, Av, Tv, P, etc.). In manual mode, you can even see the difference that changing your exposure makes right on the LCD. Print quality isn't as good as from 35mm, but if you're talking about visualizing and recording an image, what can't you learn with a digicam in manual mode that you can with a film SLR in manual? chris - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
