I don't understand that as the Bronica that Stef has, has the shutters in the 
lenses. The cocking mech on the body mechanically cocks the lens shutter, 
advances the film and lowers the mirror assembly into place for focussing. This 
model is the ETRS. Previous ones were focal plane shutters?


That sounds like one of those problems caused by the hidden battery.
