I put it in that *safe place* so I wouldn't lose it, so of course now I don't know where it is ... but it will eventually turn up.
I don't know how often I can't find something that I put in a "safe place" (I don't think that has anything to do with pushing 70, excuse me while I change my drool bucket). Things in a "safe place" tend to reveal themselves when I am looking for something else entirely. About a year ago my long-lost favorite long-nose pliers (missing for at least three years) were discovered in a box of potentiometers and rheostats (How he got into my pajamas I’ll never know).

Yeah, that's why I think the memory stick will eventually show up. Then the questions start ... Why would I ever think to put it there in the first place? ☺
