Don't know what's happening in the rest of the world but UK supermarkets have
recently instigated buying quotas:

ASDA
2 hand sanitisers and a 4 pack of toilet roll

TESCO
1 hand sanitiser, 500g of rice and 4 pack of toilet roll

Waitrose
1 lobster, 6 quail's eggs and 100g of Pate de Foie Gras

Aldi
1 MIG welder, 1 pink sports bra, 2 trumpets and 1 wetsuit.

I already have a MIG welder. What I need to get is a new bottle of inert gas.

Costco was out of toilet paper when I was in there on 03 March. I wasn't "panic buying" like some people. I usually buy their 30 roll pack and it lasts me 4 or 5 months.

Last time I bought toilet paper was back in October, so I was about due. Fortunately I was able find a similar 30 roll pack at Wegmans, so I should be set until late summer.

I'm really liking Wegmans, except they don't carry one or two items I used to get at Kroger ... they don't have the BIG jars of Peter Pan Peanut Butter or the single serving size of Micheal Angelo's frozen Eggplant Parmiagiana or the six-packs of Chobani Greek Yogurt with Mango on the bottom.

I did get big boxes of Ritz crackers, Belvita Breakfast Biscuits, ham, turkey, cheese & coffee at Costco. And Wegmans did have a really good deal on a two-pack of their house brand Peanut Butter in the BIG jars (and it's almost as good as Peter Pan).

I'm only a little concerned. I've got good supplies of basic foods. I was already stocking up after installing the new cabinets in the kitchen, so I kind of anticipated what was going to happen without really realizing it.

But I am 70 years old, Type II diabetic & have high blood pressure. Both conditions are well controlled by medication ... not much I can do about my age, other than try to keep accumulating it one day at a time.

I'm also a 10 year cancer survivor. Don't know if there are any other tick-boxes I haven't hit.

I do have plenty of hand soap and an almost unused bottle of 91% isopropyl alcohol I can mix with an Aloe Vera gel (for sunburn) that I already have to make my own hand sanitizer if I need to.

I've made arrangements for someone to take care of my dog if I get sick. My biggest problem right now is I have Costochondritis (chest wall pain) flared up from straining to move those stoves around last week.
