From another discussion site I copied the image linked below. It is originally 
from the Johns Hopkins site, I haven’t been able to find the graph there so am 
linking to a copy on my PESO gallery.
The graph, for me, does the best job of any I have seen so far of explaining 
the growth/spread of cover-19.
