I've been using my V700 - which I think is rather similar to the V500 - with the neg and film holders from the F-3200. This is not the more common Perfection 3200 but a film-only scanner they built over 10 years ago. These holders are very well built and they keep the film much flatter than the original accessory holders. A few years later, I've found myself a NOS F-3200 complete with all holders for little money and bought it just for the holders. Tried just for fun if it still worked and it not only does but it's just as good and twice as fast as the V700.
