ah - I see.. (re the stats)
re Ashley - thanks for your endorsement of Royal Canin  she seems to like it too.

Words with Friends was created as an alternative to Scrabble - very simiilar but different premium square desigin and leter values -- it's like Scrabble game avoiding getting sued by hasbro

I can challenge you on FB if you want to give it a spin

I'm glad you were able to get Ashley to the Vet;  I know what she means to you.  I hope and pray the treatment will get her back on her feed and restore her to her normal state -- for a kitten of her age.  I am familiar with Royal Canin dog food.  It is very helpful with a dog who has digestive issues.  I hope it will help Ashley.

I've never tried Words with Friends, but it sounds interesting.

Stay safe and healthy, and keep us up-to-date on how you and Ashley are doing.

You are numerous Uno now? thought we still were ... sigh.

Most I've stayed in totally s 6 days straight.. average 3 days,
    then a
day out to gather provisions and get a walk in.  Try to get out
    early and
prefer overcast or rainy day so not so many others around. People
pretty well behaved in this part of Manhattan - about 80% wearing
    their
    masks,
lining up for the quite well stocked local Trader Joe's and a
    couple of
other stores has been easy to deal with - good control of indoor
    population.

My entertainment has mostly been jigsaw puzzles.. I have aout 10
    games
of Words with Friends going on line but I spend less than an hour
    a day
    on those
now.  I miss browses in thrift stores and being able to have a
    snack in
my favorite Chinese restaurant while gathering provisions in nearby
    chinatown..

But then I've really been on a kind of lockdown for several years...
Ashley hs been my consolation for not being able to afford to just
    get
    in a car and
drive across the country visting firends and hiking in the high
    desert
and hunting for treasures to sell on ebay and she is a great
    comfort to
    me now.

So it wa worrisome to reliase how much weight she had lost in the
    last
couple of months..  A check-up was planned for June or July since she
will turn 15 this summer but she has been "off her feed" now for a
    while
    -   I got my $1200 stimulus payment about 10 days ago... so three
    days
ago we went to the vet.  She appears to have IBD (Inflammatory bowel
desease) . A vet visit in the time of Covid-19 is you go to the
    door and
vet comes out to gather the patient
does a quick check-up with blood test and (for me - a free nail
    clip -
bettter than the ones I give her).  An anti-inflammatory shot was
    given
along with a vitamin B shot to improve appetite but it was a
    relief that
her weight loss was attributed to something fairly easily to treat
    and
that she doesn't have "a mass"

So now Ashley is getting more wet food than she had been wanting
    or used
to.. eating various kitten selections and I'm trying a "Digestive"
    from
a recommened brand (Royal Canin) .. and some "Greenies" treats -..
    she
is eagerly gobbling up the news stuff but won't touch the standard
    kibbles
that we had been feeding her for the past few years from Hill's
    Science
Diet.   Doc said lets see how this goes we might have to do an ultra
sound in a couple of months _ I didn't ask - give the curbside
    exchange
system with someone waiting (they only take in one 4-pawed cirtter
    at a
    time).

Happily, Ashley got to see the same DOctor she has seen in the past.
When we were met at the door the vet asked if I had someplace to
    go for
the 30 to 45 minutes the check up would take (out of her concern
    for me
just having to stand around outside, clearly)  so ensued a bit of
    comic
    relief.
as I replied, "As a matter of fact, I'm going to go to Staples to
    buy a
    mouse."

I miss most browsing and gathering in my local thrift stores..
