cotty, sorry to hear about your scanner. been there, know how it feels. but, see, for the money D60 body alone costs at b&h, one can buy at the same place nikon 8000ed, or minolta dimage whatever (and, in that case, have money left for beer). > (Don't talk about ICE - if I could afford a decent scanner, it still > wouldn't get past the printer. Links in a chain, eh?) no matter, scanned film or digital, you cannot eliminate the printer from the chain. and, yes, digital ice really works <g> <rant> unfortunately, *for me* , digital cannot replace 35mm -- there's no way i can have equivalent of 10 rolls of film sit in my backpack (that's what, at 6 MPixels, ~7GB uncompressed?). and before anyone tells me that with digital i could decide what to keep nad what not right at the spot, i should point out that (1) i don't usually have a 21 inch monitor in my pocket. (2) in general, shooting and editing at the same time is wrong, as wrong as deciding what kind of frame you want for your picture, right at the spot. </rant> but, whatever works for you. don't let me stop you from switching to canon -- just make sure you announce selling your pentax gear on the list first <vbg> best, mishka Yahoo! - Official partner of 2002 FIFA World Cup http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
