At one time Asahi Pentax offered a right-angle finder attachment: this fitted to the viewfinder and allowed the user to look down into it with the camera at any lower level required. Of course, the eye still needed to be close to the eyepiece to view: possibly this is why not many were ever seen in use, and the piece was dropped from the line-up years ago. Perhaps if it had been a good seller, it would have continued to be made. I'm not much into macro or other shots which might require me to get down on the ground - mainly because of aged muscles! - so I am not hanging out for a flip screen.

I wonder if there is a market for something that’ll attach to the 1/4-20 thread in the base and will hold a mirror that can be angled to give a view of the back screen. I frequently used my tilt screen on my K-1, and if it ever comes back from Precision, expect that I will again. the thing that is almost as frustrating is how slow the response is when shooting in live view. Mirrorless cameras can shoot without significant delay, and at a reasonable frame rate, it’d be nice if Pentax could as well when operating in mirrorless mode. -- Larry Colen [email protected] -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
