I upgraded a few years ago to a newer version that is USB3/Firewire. This one has room for 5 spinny discs plus an SSD that it uses as a buffer. IIRC, I have 3tb drives in it, and with dual disc redundancy it is giving me somewhere around 5tb of storage space. I did have a bit of a disaster with it a whole back, pretty sure my fault, but I managed to erase my entire image bank from it. I was able to restore almost everything from other drives and my old Drobo. Anyway, it's a really easy to get along with solution, and with being able to lose 2 out of five drives without losing data, I'm confident that I am the weak point in my data storage solution. bill > -- %(real_name)s Pentax-Discuss Mail List To unsubscribe send an email to pdml-le...@pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
