Yup. I’ve got a CD rack that I would put on a kitchen stool for that purpose https://photos.app.goo.gl/8t9PvCy8wTxUqZoZ7 But I find the real time feedback after each shot to be useful. I can see how moving my head affects the lighting, if I adjust something I can if I did something to totally blow the exposure, or if I accidentally moved something into the frame a lot more easily than walking all of the way around to look through the viewfinder each time.
