I'm pretty sure changing the font only affects what YOU see. When you
send plain text it's displayed on the recipient's end in whatever font
they've chosen.
I wonder if Bob's iOS Mail is sending the link as an attachment? ... or
automatically formatting as Rich Text?

Weird - does that mean you cant change the font in your mail server? Tis
may sound crazy but if you chose a fixed width "typewriter" font to send
mail to PDML
I wonder if that would work.
In Thunderbird you can change fonts in the body text on an individual
email and I receive all mail in plain text.. per my settings. But every
one of you on list
are all more tech astute than I am in this current cyber world.

Thanks. I suspect it’s not a question of stateside or elsewhere as I
notice that Godfrey has a similar problem.
iOS Mail wraps links in a preview. I suspect it formats all mail in a
way that the PDML server dislikes as I often get replies rejected for
exceeding the maximum size the server likes, even though they are
clearly well under the maximum if they were plain text.
I don’t know of a way to change iOS Mail settings to send in plain text.
I use a hotmail account so I could probably try sending something
directly from Outlook, but it’s not the answer to this issue as I
don’t want to use Outlook.
