The Li or LR6 refers to the batteries in the grip (Li for Lithium AA's
and LR6 for the others). I'm pretty sure the little lamp has to do with
the IR remote, which only works when the grip is attached. I'll check
check for sure.

I got a "used" BG10 battery grip for the MZ-S. It didn't come with a
manual. I've figured everything out about it except for two controls:

1. Looking at the camera's backside (with the BG10 mounted) at the
bottom right corner there is a vertical sliding switch. When it is in
the UP position it reveals what appears to
be a lamp, and when the switch is slid down it covers up the lamp.
Beside this switch is an upward pointing arrow and a symbol I don't know
how to describe.

2. Around the corner from the aforementioned switch and on the lower
right side of the BG10 is a knurled, rotating selector switch. It has
a white dot indicator. It can point to
either a "Li" or a "LR6" position.

I'd MUCHO appreciate any assistance anyone can give me in deciphering
the intention(s) of these controls on the BG10.
