I have been thinking lately along the similar lines. So far I have been
keeping the lenses in ziplock bags with silicagel packets, but with
this weather I the dessicant needs to be changed every few weeks, so I
have started to look for a better solution. I have found *almost* what
I want -- a dessicator cabinet, transparent (acrylic) everything,
airtight door, adjustible shelves and a compartment for silica gel.
However the price is a bit steep: 1'(d)x1'(w)x1.5'(h) goes for about
$500.
