Hi, I don't think it was a satellite phone, but I suppose it may have been. It was better quality than for example the footage John Simpson shot in Afghanistan before he liberated Kabul.
I'm currently thinking about Aug 10th (a Sat.) for the Ansel Adams, and talking to another pdmler (from near your part of the world) about meeting up, although we haven't finalised things yet. I might be able to do 17/18th if it was after 6pm, but I'm freelance, which means no work = no pay. I wouldn't want to take time off just for Ansel.
