Rob, I just checked out the Oly E-10 on the web. It looks good, especially the 100 milli second shutter lag and the 4 frame continuous shots. (Optical viewfinder looks interesting too.) I wish my Sony had such a short shutter lag.
I was calling this kind of camera a Digital P&S. It's all in one, no interchangeable lenses (but a capable zoom), and not a lot of fooling around to upload your images. I think what you have done and what I am suggesting are not that different. You have a nice Digital P&S that happens to have thru the lens viewing (??). More important, you have something that will give you 90%-95% of the benefits of a Digital SLR, the camera may have some value when you go to sell it, and you don't have to be on the 'bleeding edge' of technology development! Not a bad choice... <g> Regards, Bob S. The fact that I didn't want to go out and buy a new set of lenses but that a P&S style camera would have been too limiting was what urged me to consider the Oly E-10. It for me is a stop-gap solution but it's a very good and usable one that really I won't need to get rid of until a real Pentax DSLR finally turns up. And when I do I suspect I'll still get a pretty good price for it and since I purchased it used I'll be very happy I'm sure. >> - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
