I'll try some variations on this, to understand it better, but any
flow at all must mean limited battery life!
What is it that activates the meter when an SMC lens is attached but a
non-SMC won't activate?
Is it the diaphragm coupling lever pushing something inside the body?
I guess that means that if I replace my SMC lens with a body cap, I'm
okay ~ no current flow...
Does pushing the stop-down lever UP cause the meter to activate, when
you're using a non-SMC lens?
Ah well, it looks like I have a session with my Spotmatic F coming up,
to see all this in operation! <g>
