Heh....no worries about bringing that up. :) I've always been sorta anti-digital and just considered them as acceptable replacements to Point and Shoot. But eventually the need hit me. I don't own a P&S, so I'd have to take my SLR out to bars, clubs, etc to get pictures of buddies (and hot chicks). I didn't want a big SLR there for obvious reasons (probably couldn't work it drunk either :)), so the small baby Pentax Optio appealed to me, fits nicely into any pocket and I knew that it would be virtually for electronic use, so just got the minimal 2MP. And if it breaks or gets stolen, big deal.
