Hey a topic within my city!!!!!! Steve, you are correct Forest City Image Centre trails the better camera stores. Stan C. Reades is the best, and where I do most of my business. They call me by my name and when ordering an accessory, they don't ask because they know it's the MZ-S. I try and stay out of Linden's because of the old man who runs it. I don't know if he's senile, but he lacks something. Plus he won't give d**k all for trade-ins. In fact, some he won't accept at all, while Stan C. Reade accepts everything and every time I go in I see that my old products are gone. McKittericks does not deal in Pentax at all. They have a fantastic collection of old cameras, do Nikon, Canon and Minolta (I believe). But they are primarily a telescope dealer. I wish I could get one of those monsters that would accept my camera!
Specifically, Forest City Image Centre is a great place for digital, and also for processing, especially again...digital. They are about the only store in London where you can take you Compact Flash card or whatever hand it in and order whatever prints. They have the odd item but nothing like Lindens, Stan's, or McKittercks. Steve you are correct when you say (or quote) that there photo store is basically a sideline for them. It's tiny and they do developments over the web. Mail order I don't know about because it's easier for me to just make the 10min drive :) Regards, Brad Dobo ----- Original Message ----- From: "Steve Sharpe" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Friday, September 27, 2002 9:03 PM Subject: RE: Camera Canada? > At 2:03 PM +0100 9/25/02, Rob Brigham wrote: > >You don't recall seeing the shop in this photo then? > > > >http://www.cameracanada.com/company.html > > > >They seem to be called Forest City Image Centre in real life... > > Oh, I've been there, most recently about 1 1/2 years ago.
