I vote for the Sigma 50mm f2.8 Macro and the 400mm f5.6 APO. The Macro is as
good as they come. The telephoto is good, but needs to be used at f8 or f11
if you want the sharpest image. I can post examples if anyone is interested.

By the way, I found those Novoflex pistol-grip things awfully difficult to
use. I used one, on an Alpa Reflex, in Zimbabwe. I was trying to photograph
the rather rare, and now seriously endangered, green pigeon. It was a flop.
Most of my slides were fuzzy despite attempts to brace myself on rocks and
trees. I think the lens was a 400mm, but it was a long time ago.
