My new Jupiter-9 finally made it here today. Very cool, very retro. Big
chunks of glass held together with what could pass as repurposed auto
parts. :-) Nicer than what I expected.
The manual, naturally, is in Russian. I see that I can turn the outer
ring and that apparently adjusts to limit how far the aperture can be
stopped down. The ring behind that controls the aperture itself. Last
is the focus ring.
What is the standard approach to these old style lenses? Focus, stop
down, and shoot? Anything I should be aware of? I'll be using it on my
ZX-5n once the adapter from B&H gets here.
If I decide I like it enough to want to dedicate a body to it, what
variety of Spotmatic should I be looking for?
