Unless there's really a lot of dust or flecks, or the flecks were actually really large flakes, I think that the effect would be so slight as to not be noticeable. (They will cause an insignificant loss of light and an insignificant increase in diffraction effects, which will cause an insignificant decrease in contrast.) (Did I mention "insignificant"?) As for attempting to clean 'em out, I personally wouldn't bother. Of course, Vic, you are ~still~ fully justified in being just a wee bit anal about the whole thing - <g>. Fred
