Thanks Fred. I was not particularly concerned but the lens was sold as "dusty". This camera shop is very particular about labeling these things. I could not see any "dust" until I opened the aperature up and zoomed out to 28mm. At that point there is actually quite a bit of "dust." The lens hardly looks like it was ever used. The sticker is still pretty new on it. I suppose the zooming action sucks in a certain amount of dust into any lens but as you say it is nothing to worry about... I'll test the daylights out of it over the next few weeks- Maybe put it up against the Pentax 28-105 and see how it does... I love the Pentax FA 28-105 but I must say this big manual focus lens feels a lot better in the hand and on the LX...
