Mike,
I've had a 430 on loan from my employer for a year (almost), and I'm
only moderately impressed with the image quality. There's a bit of a
blur in the lower left corner at the widest angle setting ( =>38mm in
35mm film).

On the mechanical side, the viewfinder deliberately snicthed a hair
from my eyebrow on the first day of use, and kept it right in the
middle of the viewfinder...:-)

And lately, a piece of white dust has appeared inside the glass plate
on the LCD preview screen. It's currently away for service, hopefully
under warranty.
