Of course it is, Dan, as some have now said - they judge bokeh from their preview rather than actual sharpness. My point was, and I maintain it as _my_ point, that it is not possible to judge DOF in the traditional sense adequately on the small dark screen of a 35mm camera. I accept that, in the case of small apertures, it may be that something appears more delineated than you expected from the full aperture view, but that would be the fullest extent of my concession!
