As I was the originator of this thread, I simply wanted to learn from those who do use DOF preview, why you do. Admittedly, I used a bit of goading to get you going, but this instills passion, and elicits excellent responses. I have since learned that it comes in very useful for macro work, of which I do zilch. Personally I would never consider it for portrait work as the back ground to me is second only to the face in my compostitional considerations. But hey, we're all different and I love finding out how others do it. Once again, thanks.
