Hi Mark, I'm a DOF preview fan, yet I noticed that most of time true flare on film has little to do with the horrible effects I sometime get in the viewfinder and these don't go away with closing the aperture. It all comes to the viewfinder quality I guess - here my MZ-5N has a lot to be desired.
