I'm not sure just what the framers' of the Bill of Rights meant by a "well
regulated militia", but I am damn well sure what they meant by "shall not be
infringed". Reading the writings of a few of them makes that exceedingly
clear.

But then, there are people around who think I should be required by law to
shave my beard.

I am all for holding individuals' responsible for their actions. I am
adamantly against holding them responsible for what some nut thinks they
might do at sometime somewhere in his imagination.

My friend Mike, and I consider him my friend despite our disagreement about
censorship, has left the list in a huff again instead of just skipping over
the messages that annoy him. Well, that is better than flame wars, I admit,
but it seems like sulking to me.

Note: Since I am just returning to let list after being gone for the summer,
newer members should be warned that I was the major anti-censorship
proponent here. That is the reason Mike labeled me the Curmudgeon, a title I
take pleasure in.

Ciao,
