This was my suspicion. I'm more than ready to leave behind the 100-degree / 99% humidity that we routinely have here. Sure, portland has drizzle, but at least I can deal with that. :) # Actually another cooling trick I found was to run the furnace fan which # sucks the air from the basement into the rest of the house. Our basement # at least has a 20 degree difference from our top floor. Good idea -- I'll be renting a house with a basement.
