I tried it last week out of desperation. Never got it working. So I could have FastCGI problems in general. Witness my post about how I can't even get "ruby dispatch.fcgi" to work from the command line. And even if I did I'd be in a situation where I'd have to recompile PHP and some other related libraries for fastcgi.
