I'm going to also recommend VPS hosting. Trying to configure and deploy in a shared environment can be really rough. I use spry.com, but really anywhere is fine as long as they're good. Going in with a friend who also wants VPS hosting can be a nice way to cut the cost in half, too. Ben Matasar and I split a host this way and, man, having root makes life so much less stressful.

I run a small xen-based VPS service, hosted at the Pittock Building in downtown, called gridcolo.com. Having root is a nice way to go if you want to be able to install the web server, database, etc. of your choice. Server setup is 100% automated via the website, which is written in ruby on rails. don _______________________________________________ PDXRuby mailing list [email protected] IRC: #pdx.rb on irc.freenode.net http://lists.pdxruby.org/mailman/listinfo/pdxruby
