Can you explain the math to me or point me some place that does?
Looks like Caleb's finding the greatest common divisor[1] of both the rocks and sucks numbers, and using that to give a ratio that's always an integer (or, if you prefer, a rational). Which is slick, but being arithmetically challenged, I have to fire up a calculator to tell me that 977:14900 is about... uh... 1:15? That can't be right; it's off by an order of magnitude. What gives? -Sam [1] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greatest_common_divisor _______________________________________________ PDXRuby mailing list [email protected] IRC: #pdx.rb on irc.freenode.net http://lists.pdxruby.org/mailman/listinfo/pdxruby
