So I've got this Rails app, and I've got this shiny new Mac Mini...

sysadmin!")
I can help you set this up, if you haven't already found someone --
it's pretty straightforward, though admittedly more difficult on OS X
than on most UNIX-y systems.
Anyway, if you can help, my company will pay you for a few hours of
your time. In the event that the startup thing only takes half an
hour, I can come up with some other stuff I haven't got round to in my
[extremely part-time] working hours:
- Restricting (MySQL && PostgreSQL) to localhost access only
I could take a stab at either of these, but I'd really just be taking
your money for no reason -- the OS X built-in firewall is more than
capable enough to handle restricting access to database servers to
localhost only. I suppose ten minutes or so could be spent showing you
the firewall rule editing tools...
- Capistranizing the app
- Whatever comes to mind
- ...
- Profit!
I'd prefer to work at my house in SE, but this is a Mini we're talking
about -- if you've got a spare monitor and are within reasonable
biking distance (read: most places on the east side), I can come to
you.
I live in SE as well, though I am unfortunately tied up in a
conference today and the first half of tomorrow.
Let me know if you still need some help,
Lennon
