Additionally, I've changed PECL_REST_DIR back to the previous settings of PEAR_REST_DIR. But in any case the above mentioned script will need to be executed on the server probably. Case is that when the PECL package release is created, the XML files are updated. The XML rest files are in need of few bug fixes also https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=76719 I'll get to that in one of these days.
