Hi folks, I've been using P99SE (sp6) for quite awhile now, and every once in awhile I run into this bug/fault/problem. I've got a pretty large design (9 pages), and most of it will require hand routing. I figure I'm about 80-85% finished. I got to the PCB mode in the normal fashion, by doing Design/Update PCB, etc. I now find that when I am routing some Ground traces, and I hit <esc> to end that trace, the computer is running quite slowly, and when the cursor comes back to normal, Protel seems to take it upon itself to UNROUTE a whole bunch of my previously manually routed ground traces!! If I catch things quickly enough, I can do an undo, but something's wrong here, and I don't know what. All the traces are legitimate grounds in the schematic, and I'm not receiving any errors when I do a PCB rules check. (If I punch a via in the track, it does, in fact, show the GND net on the via). It doesn't always unroute the same bunch of traces, and locking or unlocking them doesn't seem to make a bit of difference. Things are quickly grinding to a stop, and need some ideas... I have saved & reloaded the design, restarted the computer, updated from schematic mode (many times), and also done design rules checks. It seems pretty obstinate, and when it finds tracks it doesn't like, absolutely WONT let you route them without sacrificing a trace or more somewhere else!
