thanks Kat i don't know where these will be built (yet)

i'm sure these numbers are all over the place

what sort of spacings have you seen w/ modern machines ?

i've done stencil/solder paste with hand placement at 50 mil center to center (side by side) and didn't hear any squawking

i have a spot where 40 would be nice  :)

Depends on the asembely method, If Pinck N Place, I ask the board house and go by thier guidance. (I usually ask for a machine ID and specify the design for that machine as in the past they quoted a gap for another machine, and the one they used was knocking parts already placed)

If hand solder, then I usually do a 603, leave a gap of a 603 do a 603 etc.
