Open the schematic in Protel99SE, go to Reports>Bill of Material, and a wizard will pop up to lead you through the process. If you don't have the libraries for the parts, you will only be able to take advantage of the information available on the schematic sheets. Most of the time that will be the footprint, designator, part type, and sometimes description.
