It seems your definition of "naked" is different that mine. Mine includes
being behind a good NAT/SPI firewall. So maybe it's like "naked, but with
a condom on" ;-)

in less than 300 seconds my entire LAN was infected with some worm whose
name i can't remember now, but it was rampant at that moment
it took many wasted hours to clean it all up
i hadn't clicked on or caused anything directly
Ivan is correct about the P4 space heater effect
i have a mini tower P4 in the shop and whenever i walk around the back i
am always shocked at the sheer volume of *really* hot air blowing out
the rear
it's a bit useful in the winter though
