Bob,
Just out of curiosity, I have yet to use a particular paper size to match my printer's actual paper size. Example, I keep 8.5x11 in the printer, if I want a smaller print, or more parts on a page, I will just use 11x17 in Protel, it will shrink, or stretch to fit the page.

1. To fix the paper size in protel's schematic, I do use a pre-fab document template. 2. To set the paper size & scale in Protel's "Print Document", you need to change both Window's Printer system defaults & the printer's Document defaults. Dont ask me why, but, Protel seems to always go to these settings when creating new schematics which you want to printout.

Note that re-installing printer drivers, a major crash during printing, attaching a new printer to your PC which Windows get's a glimps of, or, even installing a print to Adobe Acrobat Reader generator resets these settings & messes everything up.

Bob,
I have seen these comments many times previously, both about P99SE and DXP, you don't mention which but I believe you are one of the stalwart P99SE users. However I don't understand the problem because I have never seen it. I have never had P99SE default to a European paper size, only one of the three sizes we use, Letter, 11 x 17 or Tabloid (our Adobewriter doesn't use 11x17). Sorry can't help since I don't have a clue what may cause it since I have just never see it happen. Kind of makes me wonder if it would be a printer driver/Protel issue and not 'simply' a Protel issue.

Is there a way to permanently disable all UK paper types - A1, A4 etc. ?

It seems that every time I turn around, the $%&* system reverts to one of
these sizes and confuses the printer.

The only sizes I ever use are A (8 1/2 X 11) and B (11 X 17). Every time I
upgrade or install a new service pack (currently 2004 SP3)I go through this
exercise, and there is just enough time between upgrades that I forget how
to do it.

Anybody?
