Robert's five paths (

with the categorial relations among the ten classes of signs in Peirce's
1903 taxonomy, which Hugo does not address in his paper at all. My guess is
that what you have in mind instead are Gary Richmond's six categorial
vectors (
https://www.academia.edu/73097141/Trikonic_Analysis_Synthesis_and_Critical_Common_Sense_on_the_Web),
which are not limited to semeiotic--they have applications throughout
Peirce's classification of the sciences. Nevertheless, as I said in my last
post, I agree with Gary (and Peirce) that semiosis *always *conforms to the
vector of *determination*--from the object (2ns) through the sign (1ns)
toward the interpretant (3ns)--which Hugo calls "perceiving."
