thank you for trying to solve this problem. For me this topic of Darwin-critique is quite interesting: On one hand, Darwin was inspired my Malthus, and the resulting social darwinism has caused a great lot of poverty and suffering, up to such things like fascism and nazis. On the other hand, Darwin-bashers are often religious fundamentalists, whose ideology in my opinion is not much better than the fascist ideology sometimes. In this context I want to recommend the book by Joachim Bauer: "The cooperative gene". It shows a (third) way by not totally refuting Darwinism, but supplying it with a certain amount of Lamarckism, based on scientific knowledge. What I want to say is, I really would like to discuss about all this, why not with Brahmanic priests too. I already had uttered my (still crude now) opinion about the Bhagavad Gita, that I do not like the justification of war in it, by no matter how holy or spiritual arguments.

Ben and I are as frustrated as you are with these automatic postings to peirce-l from the Sadhu Sanga list. We know that some of you are quite irked at receiving these messages as we've individually and together gotten a number of off-list emails on the topic.
Today's message from Soren, very brief, was in a huge message that it took me half a minute to scroll down in order to delete that totally extraneous material from this message. I would request that anyone participating in the Sadhu Sanga discussion do the same until we resolve the issue. PLEASE DELETE EVERYTHING FROM YOUR MESSAGE BUT THAT ONE MESSAGE WHICH YOU'RE REPLYING TO. Meanwhile, I'd again recommend deleting material with Sadhu Sanga in the Subject.
We have asked our tech person at IUPUI to look into this from yet another angle: it seems likely that Google Groups--which the Sadhu Sanga list is in--has rules which makes this sort of automatic posting unacceptable in their groups.
Meanwhile, please bear with us. We will get this resolved asap.
