I do think there is a different type of bias and type of thinking

No two people have identical interests, preferences, and ways of
thinking. The word 'bias' has a negative connotation that is only
appropriate when it "blocks the way of inquiry".

Theoretical physicists are notorious for breaking experimental
equipment when they walk into a laboratory. There's an anecdote
about Niels Bohr, who was on a train from Denmark to Switzerland.
At the moment when his train passed through Göttingen, an experiment
at the University of Göttingen blew up. That was cited as proof of
Bohr's greatness as a theoretical physicist.
